Now that's a work headache

In my old age I like to watch the news in the morning.  (I don't know why or when this happened either, but it did.)

On "The Early Show" this morning, they featured a sports reporter who got knocked in the head from a far away soccer ball kick.  It's pretty crazy looking.  But, what I find crazier is that the cameraman didn't feel the need to say hey "Heads up.  Soccer ball flying right at your head going at a high rate of speed."  Nope, he just let her get hit.

The soccer player apologized about 3 times, once with flowers and a helmet.

  1. I was going to do some schtick about how she is used to balls around her head and neck area, but I'm going to go with the fact that if you are doing a show on the side lines of a soccer field you can expect to some balls head your way. Occupational Hazard.
